Kellie Martin, an American TV and film actress popular for her role in the roles of Christy Huddleston on the historical drama series 'Christy The 'Christy'' series, Rebecca Thatcher in the family drama 'Life Goes On' and Lucy Knight in the medical drama "ER". Also, she is known for being the main character in the 'Hailey Dean Mystery' series. Martin was the daughter of a department-store seller and a kindergarten teacher began her career acting at the age of seven. Her aunt who worked as a nanny to Michael Landon's children helped Martin to get her a character in the 1983's show "Father Murphy". After graduating of Yale University, she took acting more seriously and landed substantial roles, both on the small screen and the large screen. Martin is, in addition to being an accomplished dancer and actress, is also a skilled ballet photographer. A mother of two, Martin is the spokesperson for the nation for Lupus and has been frequently spreading awareness regarding the disease since her sister died at the age of 19.
