Sadie Amara Calvano has become famous for the role of Violet Plunkett that she played in the CBS sitcom Mom. Calvano is from California, and began her career in the sport of competitive gymnastics. Later, however, Calvano decided to focus on an acting career. The first time she appeared on screen was in 2010 in an Episode of CBS's 'NCIS. The biographical crime movie J Edgar was her big screen debut just a year later. Through the course of time, she has established herself as one of the top young actors in the industry today. Her performance as 'NCIS, has been nominated by the Young Artist Award 2011 for Best Performance of a TV Series that features an guest Actress between 11-15 years old. In 2013, her performance as a guest on the comedy series 'Kickin' It' was nominated yet again for an award called a Young Artist Award. Calvano was part of the ensemble cast of Mom throughout its first three years and appeared on several occasions in the fourth. The year 2015 was the year she won the Gracie Allen Award of Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star due to her role in Mom.
